quicklinks: wordpress gadget

120407-wpgadget.gifA quick link to this gadget for MS Vista which puts links to your Wordpress admin elements straight into your gadget area. I’m not exactly in love with Vista at the moment, it keeps setting IE as my default browser. That said, gadgets are one of the nice things. This will probably save me 2 minutes a day.

Gadget available here. I found it on the Gadget Bloke, well worth a visit if you run Vista. And if you don’t run Vista, visit anyway as his theme is worth checking out, a really neat mod of cleaker2.1.

    I’m sure you’ve probably tried this, but under the ‘Programs’ tab in IE’s settings you should uncheck the default browser checkbox. Then in the FF ‘Main’ settings tab you should check the same. Make sure you’re running FF with admin privaledges and Vista should stop messing with the setting!

    I’ve tried all the usual stuff. as it I suspect some of the security updates Vista runs reinstate IE as the default (a recent update on XP even did this) as it’s a bit eratic.

    Gadget Bloke, Wordpress Guy, we need to find a Photoshop Dude and a Database Chap to complete the set!

    Actually that may be the same guy with a different wordpress theme, I’m not sure. Haha.
